Breaking Fake News: 

FAKEWAX was emancipated and given Fake Statehood in Series 4 thanks to a frog and 50+ creators. The Fake scientists decided we needed to add the Special Edition Viva La Vandal created FAKEWAX card retroactively, and make it the 51st state of the ground-breaking Series 4 collection of the Fake Rares. The card is not just a card. It’s a summation of the hard work the creators and developers of Series 4 put in. One FAKEWAX equals one FAKE WAX Volume 1 record. Thirty original tracks made for the Fake Rare series are spliced together thanks to Pimpernel Jones, who mastered all the tracks, and 80s Kurt Russell who A&R’ed the project. 

The record and token is the art, or is the music, or is the Pepe. We don’t know what to call this ground-breaking cryptomusic. You see, Counterparty wasn’t known for its mp4s or music tokens prior to Series 4. Jpegs, PNGs, and Gifs dominated the block explorer – xchain.io. But, a group of Frog enthusiasts on a worldwide social chat called Telegram put their heads together and figured out a way to hack the system. What came of it was a community driven project of music about Fake Rares, frogs and some other weird noises. 

There are 150 FAKEWAX tokens and 150 records. Each token holder is being blessed with a subset – FAKEWAX.REDEEM that the holder will use to claim the record in the coming weeks. When you see this token show up in yer wallet, please read the instructions on the CLAIM FORM if you’d like to redeem for your vinyl.
